CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 95-75 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF <br /> WORKER' S COMPENSATION CLAIMS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are now pending before the Worker's Compensation Appeals Board <br /> cases involving two City employees, namely Walter Alderman and James <br /> King; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's worker's compensation claims administrator has requested <br /> authority from the City Council to settle these claims in amounts more fully <br /> discussed in the memorandum dated June 13, 1995 from the Director of <br /> Personnel to the City Attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such authority is reasonable and justified under the circumstances. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Attorney is authorized to settle the above-mentioned cases in <br /> amounts not to exceed that requested by the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON JULY 18, 1995 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Michelotti, Mohr, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Dennis <br />ABSTAIN: Councilmember Pico <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> PeggyGL.c/L~idro, C~y Clerk <br />A~ ~T O~ / <br />Michael H.
