CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 95-61 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> FOR USE OF UNDESIGNATED CITY FUNDS TO <br /> PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO VARIOUS COMMUNITY <br /> PROGRAMS AND RECOMMENDATION THAT <br /> AVAILABLE CITY FUNDS BE SEGREGATED INTO <br /> SELECTED PROGRAM CATEGORrES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting in January 1995, the City Council set aside $100,000 as an <br /> undesignated fund to provide an opportunity to explore possible uses of the <br /> funds, including youth program options; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the same time, the Council expressed an interest in exploring whether <br /> City funds applied to various community programs should be placed in <br /> categories to assure a variety of needs were being met; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Human Services Commission reviewed both items and has <br /> recommended two different options for use of the undesignated funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 6, 1995, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br /> Director of Parks and Community Services (SR 95:182) regarding the <br /> proposed funds; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council amends the existing funding program to provide <br /> segregated funds and approves the use of the undesignated $100,000 as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> A. Allocate $30,000 of the $100,000 undesignated fund, plus the $3,500 <br /> remaining in the Proposition 4 Fund, as a one-time-only grant for <br /> Youth Programs, either youth or agency initiated, which would be <br /> available through a RFP competitive process at the beginning of the <br /> 1995 school year. <br /> <br /> <br />
