CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 95-49 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FISCAL YEAR 1995-96 <br /> APPROPRIATION LIMIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the State of California Constitution (Proposition 4 on the <br /> November 6, 1979, ballot) requires that each year the governing body of <br /> each local agency establish its appropriation limit for the following year; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Proposition 111, passed by the voters in June of 1990, expands the choices <br /> for making annual adjustments to the appropriation limit based on various <br /> growth factors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1994-95 appropriation limit of $86,148,309 was adopted on a <br /> provisional basis pending the release of nonresidential construction figures <br /> from the County of Alameda; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the release of the County figures, the $86,148,309 appropriation <br /> limit is confirmed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Assessor's Office has not completed the calculation of <br /> the percentage change in the tax roll due to non-residential construction <br /> which is one of the growth factors available to the City to determine the <br /> 1995-96 appropriation limit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the growth factors of (1) the <br /> percentage change in the city population, and (2) the percentage change in <br /> California per capita personal income will be used to establish the 1995-96 <br /> appropriation limit on a provisional basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, selecting these growth factors will result in a new provisional limit for <br /> 1995-96 or $93,408,103. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The appropriation limit for fiscal year 1994-95 of $86,148,309 is <br /> confirmed. <br /> <br /> <br />
