CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 95-43 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADDING AN AGENDA ITEM <br /> REGARDING THE PLEASANTON POLICE OFFICERS <br /> ASSOCIATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, recent negotiations with the Pleasanton Police Officers Association have <br /> resulted in the Association and the City's bargaining representatives <br /> reaching agreement concerning a Memorandum of Understanding between <br /> the Association and the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, consideration of this Memorandum of Understanding was not indicated on <br /> the agenda for the special meeting of April 24, 1995, because agreement as <br /> to the Memorandum of Understanding did not occur until after the April 24, <br /> 1995 agenda was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the agenda upon a <br /> two-thirds vote of the Council upon a finding that the need to take action <br /> on the item arose after the time the agenda was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the previous Memorandum of Understanding with the Pleasanton Police <br /> Officers Association has expired and it will be over two weeks until the <br /> City Council meets again to consider approval of the new Memorandum of <br /> Understanding. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Based on the findings set forth above, a resolution to approve the <br /> Memorandum of Understanding with the Pleasanton Police Officers <br /> Association is hereby added to the April 24, 1995 agenda for Council <br /> action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
