CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 95-29 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADDING AN AGENDA ITEM <br /> REGARDING THE PLEASANTON POLICE OFFICERS <br /> ASSOCIATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, negotiations with the Pleasanton Police Officers Association have reached <br /> a point at which direction is necessary from the City Council before the <br /> negotiations can proceed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a closed session was not indicated on the agenda for March 21, 1995; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the agenda upon a <br /> two-thirds vote of the Council that the need to add the item arose after the <br /> time the agenda was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, direction to staff is critical for the negotiations to continue, the need for <br /> such direction occurred after the agenda was posted and the closed session <br /> is necessary to provide direction to staff before the City Council meets <br /> again. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Based on the findings set forth above, a closed session to confer with labor <br /> negotiators regarding the Pleasanton Police Officers Association is hereby <br /> added to the March 21, 1995 closed session agenda for Council discussion. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
