CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-140 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1996/97 <br /> MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION PLAN OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Management and Confidential Compensation Plan for the City of <br /> Pleasanton was adopted on September 3, 1996, by Resolution No. 96-96; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 3, 1996, the City Council reviewed the report <br /> from the City Manager (SR 96:357) regarding the establishment of salary <br /> control points for the newly created classifications of Chief of Operations <br /> and Planning and Deputy Chief of Fire Operations, setting a new salary <br /> control point for the existing classification of Fire Division Chief, and <br /> adopting a policy to compensate for management employees assigned to <br /> standby, all due to the recent consolidation of the Livermore and Pleasanton <br /> Fire Departments; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Amends the 1996/97 Management and Confidential Compensation Plan as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> a. Establishes a new management classification entitled Chief of <br /> Operations and Planning, the salary control point of which shall be <br /> $7,790 per month. <br /> <br /> b. Establishes a new management classification entitled Deputy Chief <br /> of Operations, the salary control point of which shall be $7,113 per <br /> month. <br /> <br /> c. Establishes $6,284 per month as the single salary control point for <br /> the management personnel of both cities assigned to the <br /> classification of Fire Division Chief. <br /> <br /> <br />
