All monetary payments for overtime must be paid not later than the next <br /> biweekly payroll following the pay period in which the overtime was worked. Utilization <br /> of compensatory time off shall be by mutual agreement between the Department Head <br /> and the employee. Upon termination, the employee shall be paid for his/her unused <br /> compensatory time. Overtime shall not be assigned on the basis of employee's choice of <br /> monetary. payment or compensatory time off. <br /> <br /> Once per year, employees may be paid for all accrued compensatory time. Said payments <br /> shall be made on the fn'st pay day in December. Written requests for payment must be <br /> made by the employee fifteen (15) days in advance of the first pay day in December. <br /> <br />Section 9. Standbv Time <br /> <br /> Standby time is that amount of specific and predetermined time that an employee is <br /> required to be on call in addition to the normal work day and shall be compensated at a <br /> ram of pay equal to twenty (20) hours of pay for each seven (7) day period spent on <br /> standby. The hours of daily standby duty for water division employees and sanitary <br /> sewer division employees shall be 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The requirement that <br /> employees in the classification of water system operator and sanitary system operator <br /> work standby shall be set forth in the job descriptions of such classifications. <br /> <br />~eetion 10. Training Pay: Police Dispatcher/Community Service Officer <br /> <br /> Police Dispatchers assigned responsibility to train new Police Dispatchers as part of a <br /> forrealized departmental training program, shall be paid the sum of eighty-five dollars <br /> ($85.00) for each complete and continuous four-week period spent training. For periods <br /> spent training of less than or more than four continuous weeks, said eighty-five dollars <br /> ($85.00) payment shall be prorated on a daily basis (to the nearest whole work day). <br /> <br /> Community Service Officers assigned responsibility to train new Community Service <br /> Officers as part of a formal departmental training program shall be paid five percent (5%) <br /> of their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour of assigned training. <br /> <br /> Sectionll. Holidays <br /> <br /> 11.1 Observed Holidays <br /> Effective March 1, 1988, the holidays to be observed are as follows: <br /> <br /> a. January 1 <br /> b.
