CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-112 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF <br /> FEDERAL HOME FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has enacted the Cranston-Gonzalez National <br /> Affordable Housing Act of 1990, hereinafier called the "Act", and Federal <br /> regulations have been adopted pursuant thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Title II of the Act creates the Housing Opportunities Made Easy program, <br /> hereinafter called "HOME", that provides funds to states and local governments <br /> for acquisition, rehabilitation, and new construction of affordable housing and <br /> tenant-based rental assistance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funds from Title II are distributed to metropolitan cities, urban counties, states, <br /> and consortia of local governments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton participates as a member jurisdiction of the Alameda County <br /> HOME Consortium to receive its annual formula allocation of HOME funds; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 1, 1996, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br /> Housing Division (SR 96:294) regarding the background of the use of Pleasanton's <br /> allocation of federal HOME funds and the recommended funding allocation for <br /> FY 1996; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Council approves the allocation of federal HOME funds for fiscal year 1996 <br /> (approximately $136,440) to HOUSE, Inc., to be used in its project to acquire <br /> and/or rehabilitate a residential facility in Pleasanton for developmentally-disabled <br /> adults. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with HOUSE, Inc., to <br /> establish procedures and conditions for the use of the HOME funding and to take <br /> all other necessary actions to administer the City's FY 1996 allocation of HOME <br /> funds. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
