CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-10 1 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE <br /> DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF BRAD <br /> HIRST AND THOMAS PROPERTIES (ON BEHALF OF <br /> THORATEC LABORATORIES), AS FILED UNDER <br /> CASE PUD-80-16-8M/PUD-80-16-13D <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 3, 1996, the City Council received a proposed <br /> negative declaration for the application of Brad Hirst and Thomas <br /> Properties, on behalf of Thoratec Laboratories, for a Planned Unit <br /> Development major modification to modify the permitted uses on Site "B" <br /> of the Signature Center Business Park from neighborhood retail and <br /> personal services, restaurants, and financial institutions to office, research <br /> and development, and assembly of medical equipment, and for approval of <br /> a PUD development plan to allow the construction of a 62,188 sq. ft. one- <br /> and two-stoW building on a 4.0 acre site located on the northeast comer of <br /> Stoneridge Drive and Bradley Drive by the Bank of America building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated <br /> August29, 1996, and received the recommendations of the staff and <br /> Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given <br /> the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br /> major modification and development plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br /> applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br /> Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed major modification and <br /> development plan would not have any significant adverse effects on the <br /> environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
