CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 96-10 1 RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF BRAD HIRST AND THOMAS PROPERTIES (ON BEHALF OF THORATEC LABORATORIES), AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-80-16-8M/PUD-80-16-13D WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 3, 1996, the City Council received a proposed negative declaration for the application of Brad Hirst and Thomas Properties, on behalf of Thoratec Laboratories, for a Planned Unit Development major modification to modify the permitted uses on Site "B" of the Signature Center Business Park from neighborhood retail and personal services, restaurants, and financial institutions to office, research and development, and assembly of medical equipment, and for approval of a PUD development plan to allow the construction of a 62,188 sq. ft. one- and two-stoW building on a 4.0 acre site located on the northeast comer of Stoneridge Drive and Bradley Drive by the Bank of America building; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated August29, 1996, and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed major modification and development plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed major modification and development plan would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
