CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-98 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION RF.~CINDING THE FEE SCHEDULES SET <br /> FORTH IN RESOLUTION NO. 96-27 AND ESTABLISHING <br /> REVISED FIXED AND UN~ORM REFUSE COLLECTION <br /> RATES FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton (City) and Pleasanton Garbage Service, Inc. (Contractor) <br /> have entered into an Agreement for the exclusive collection, transportation and <br /> disposal of dry garbage and refuse from the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 9.20.090 of the City of Pleasanton Municipal Code, <br /> rates for refuse services shall be set by a resolution approved by the City Council <br /> of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor shall conduct all billing related to the collection, transportation, <br /> recycling, and disposal of said garbage and refuse in strict accordance with the <br /> rates listed in such Resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after conducting public hearings, the City Council has determined that offering <br /> a smaller alternative to the standard 90-gallon residential refuse service is <br /> desireable for economic, customer service, and environmental reasons; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The fee schedule set forth in Resolution No. 96-27 is hereby rescinded. <br /> <br />Section 2: The rates for the collection, transport and disposal of dry garbage and refuse from <br /> the City of Pleasanton for Commercial Services, Residential Services and for Transfer Station <br /> Services, are revised effective September 3, 1996 as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
