CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-93 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INTERIM JOINT <br /> POWERS AGREEMENT REGARDING DELIVERY OF <br /> FIRE SERVICES WITHIN THE VALLEY AND <br /> PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION TO <br /> DUBLIN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 13, 1996, the City Council reviewed the report of <br /> the Fire Chief (SR 96:228) regarding authorization for the City Manager <br /> and Fire Chief to execute the interim exercise of joint powers agreement <br /> (JPA) that will allow for management consolidation of fire services and will <br /> provide for continued study of a full consolidation of fire services between <br /> the participating Valley Cities and that the City Manager be authorized, <br /> along with the City of Livemore, to submit a proposal to Dublin to provide <br /> joint fire services; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the City Manager and Fire Chief to execute an Interim Joint <br /> Powers Agreement regarding delivery of fire services within the Valley and <br /> authorizes the City Manager, along with the City of Livermore, to submit a <br /> proposal to provide fire services to the City of Dublin. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
