Resolution No. 96-89 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Clerk is directed to transmit the initiatives to the City Attorney to prepare <br /> an impartial analysis of the measures. <br /> <br />Section 4: The City Council authorizes arguments for the initiatives to be filed by Mayor Ben <br /> Tarver and Councilmember Becky Dennis. These arguments must be submitted to <br /> the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m., on August 15, 1996. <br /> <br />Section 5: The City Council hereby adopts the procedures set forth in Sections 9285 of the <br /> Elections Code regarding submission of rebuttal arguments. <br /> <br />Section 6: The City Council hereby requests the Alameda County Board of Supervisorsto <br /> order this election be conducted by Alameda County on November 5, 1996, in <br /> conjunction with the General Election being held within the County on that date, <br /> with the actual costs for said election to be reimbursed by the City to the County. <br /> <br />Section 7: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 7, 1996 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Pico and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: Councilmembers - Michelotti and Mohr <br />AB SENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Peggy ~. ~zi~rS, City C61/erk <br /> <br />Michael H.
