II~IPLEMENTATION: Once a suggestion has been approved, the appropriate <br /> department will be sent a copy of the suggestion. The department will review <br /> the suggestion with the employee and indicate when the suggestion will be <br /> implemented or the reason for non-implementation. Within 30 days after <br /> notification, the affected department will notify the Suggestion Award <br /> Committee of the implementation schedule. In the rare situation that a <br /> suggestion may not be implemented the affected department head will submit <br /> the reason for non-implementation for review by the City Manager. <br /> <br />INELIGIBLE IDEAS: Ideas ineligible for award include: <br /> <br /> · those which call attention to a problem, but do not suggest an acceptable <br /> solution <br /> <br /> · those regarding normal maintenance or routine safety, unless such suggestions <br /> contribute to a solution for maintenance or safety problems <br /> <br /> · those regarding salary adjustment, job classifications and position allocations <br /> <br /> · those not original to the suggester, or those submitted for an ineligible <br /> suggester <br /> <br /> · those which are substantially duplicative of suggestions submitted within the <br /> last twelve month period <br /> <br /> · those that require modification to existing M.0.U.s with employee groups if an <br /> agreement for the modification cannot be reached with the affected <br /> association/union <br /> <br /> · those regarding employee benefits, such as rest room facilities, vending <br /> machines or recreational programs; and working conditions, such as <br /> housekeeping, air conditioning and furniture. <br /> <br />OWNERSHW RIGHTS: All suggestions become the property of the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Suggestion Award Program - Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
