CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-79 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SELECTING AMARAL PARK AS THE <br /> NAME FOR FIVE ACRE NEIGHBORHOOD PARK <br /> ADJACENT TO THE FUTURE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON <br /> STONERIDGE DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a five-acre neighborhood park will be constructed in northeast Pleasanton, north <br /> of the terminus of Martin Avenue and south of Stoneridge Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the park will serve the area as a neighborhood park as well as serve the physical <br /> education curriculum needs and recreational needs of the future elementary <br /> school; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission has recommended the name Amaral Park. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council selects the name Amaral Park for the five acre neighborhood <br /> park to be constructed in northeast Pleasanton, north of the terminus of Martin <br /> Avenue and south of Stoneridge Drive. <br /> <br />SeCtion 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON IULY 2, 1996 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Peg~gy~~ <br /> <br />Michael H.
