CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-66 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 <br /> APPROPRIATION LIMIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the State of California Constitution (Proposition 4 on the <br /> November 6, 1979 ballot) requires that each year the governing body of each <br /> local agency establish its appropriation limit for the following year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Proposition 111, passed by the voters in June of 1990, expands the choices for <br /> making annual adjustments to the appropriation limit based on various growth <br /> factors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1995-96 appropriation limit of $93,408,103 was adopted on a provisional <br /> basis pending the release of nonresidential construction figures from the County <br /> of Alameda; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the release of the County figures, the $93,408,103 appropriation limit <br /> is confirmed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the growth factors of (1) the percentage <br /> change in the city population, and (2) the percentage change in California per <br /> capita personal income will be used to establish the 1996-97 appropriation limit; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, selecting these growth factors will result in a new limit for 1996-97 of <br /> $99,911,430. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The appropriation limit for fiscal year 1995-96 of $93,408,103 is contimed. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Proposition 111 growth factors selected for 1996-97 are (1) percentage <br /> change in the City population and, (2) the percentage change in California per <br /> capita personal income. <br /> <br />Section 3: The provisional appropriation limit for fiscal year 1996-97 is $99,911,430. <br /> <br /> <br />
