CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-55 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br /> OF PROVIDIAN BANCORP FOR DEVELOPMENT <br /> PLAN APPROVAL TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF <br /> TWO OFFICE BUILDINGS, AS FILED UNDER CASE <br /> PUD-80-16-11D <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Providian Bancorp has applied for development plan approval to allow the <br /> construction of two (2) new, two-story office buildings totaling <br /> approximately 100,000 square feet of building floor area located on an <br /> approximately 11.15 acre site located at the southwest comer of Franklin <br /> Drive and Johnson Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposal also includes the abandonment of a section of Morse Drive <br /> located between Franklin Drive and Johnson Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C-O <br /> (Industrial/Commercial and Office) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is covered by the negative declaration approved under <br /> PUD-80-16-3M; therefore no additional environmental document was <br /> prepared for this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval <br /> of the proposed development plan approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held on May 21, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed development plan modification is <br /> appropriate for the site and is consistent with the General Plan policies of <br /> the City; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
