CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLF-ASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALTFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-26 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHO1Hz~NG SETTLEMENT OF <br /> WORKER'S COMPENSATION CLAIMS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are now pending before the Woxigs Compensation Appeals Board <br /> five cases involving five City employees, namely Ronald Parker, Wayne <br /> l~iffee, Gareth Hilborn, Beverly Davies and Melissa Bhatnagar; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's workers compensation claims _admini.~trator has requested <br /> authority from the City Council to settle these claims in amounts more fully <br /> discussed in the confidential memorandm dated March 25, 1996, from the <br /> Director of Personnel to the City Attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such authority is reasonable and justified under the circumstances. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Attorney is authorized to setfie the five above-mentioned cases in <br /> amounts not to exceed that requested by the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shah become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON APRIL 2, 1996 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotfl, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> !zi o, <br /> P <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Michael H.
