CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-25 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING WITHOUT PREJUDICE <br /> THE APPLICATION OF A. G. SPANOS <br /> CORPORATION (PUD-81-30-59D) TO CONSTRUCT A <br /> TWO- AND TItREE-STORY, 462-UNIT APARTMENT <br /> COMPLEX ON AN APPROXIMATELY 20-ACRE SITE <br /> LOCATED AT 5700 OWENS DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A. G. Spanos Companies has applied for approval of a PUD plan to <br /> construct a two- and three-story, 462-unit apartment complex on an <br /> approximately 20 acre site (a portion of Lot 60) located within the <br /> Hacienda Business Park and bordered by Owen Drive on the north, <br /> Tassajara Creek on the east, and the Alameda County transit corridor on the <br /> south; and <br /> <br />~W~-IEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - HDR (High <br /> Density Residential) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on March 19, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is within the scope of the environmental impact report <br /> prepared in conjunction with the PUD approval for the Hacienda Business <br /> Park and therefore, no additional environmental documentation was <br /> prepared for th~s application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received the Planning Cornmission's recommendation <br /> concerning the proposed development plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that in light of the other projects in the area, this project, <br /> as cuffently designed, does not meet the park facility needs of the community or <br /> the neighborhood. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
