CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-37 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PROPOSAL OF <br /> THE PACIFIC LOCOMOTIVE ASSOCIATION TO <br /> EXTEND STEAM TRAIN EXCURSIONS FROM <br /> SUNOL TO PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 16, 1996, the City Council reviewed a staff report <br /> (SR96: 107) regarding the proposal to operate a steam train between Niles <br /> Canyon and downtown Pleasanton within the Alameda County <br /> Transportation Corridor; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council supports the proposal to operate a steam train between <br /> Niles Canyon and downtown Pleasanton and recommends that the Pacific <br /> Locomotive Association continue its application with Alameda County for <br /> that purpose. <br /> <br />Section 2.: The City Council recommends that Alameda County proceed with the <br /> necessary environmental documentation for this application. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON APRIL 16, 1996 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Michael H.
