CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PI,FASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 96-28 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROGRAM FOR <br /> FUNDING HOUSING AND COXVIMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT (HCD) PROJECTS WITH FEDERAL <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br /> (CDBG) FUNDS FOR HSCAL YEAR 1996197 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) tim& are distributed to <br /> metropolitan cities, urban counties, states, and consortia of local <br /> governments by the Department of Housing and Urban Development <br /> (turn); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD requires a minimum period of one year for a jurisdiction's CDBG <br /> program for the purposes of planning and implementation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a HUD Entitlement City and will be submitting a <br /> Final Statement with projects for CDBG funding for Fiscal Year 1996/97; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council fin& that the use of City Lower Income Homing Funds to <br /> supplement CDBG funds is an appropriate use under certain conditions as <br /> listed in Resolution No. 94-80 adopted in July 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 4, 1996, the City received partial confirmation of its 1996/97 <br /> CDBG funding amount from HUD in the amount of $139,000 based on the <br /> percentage of the total funds received from Congress under the Continuing <br /> Resolution which is curren~y in effect for the federal budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 2, 1996, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br /> Director of Parks and Community Services (SR 96:94) regarding the <br /> proposed CDBG program for Fiscal Year 1996/97; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
