CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 96-27 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE REFUSE COLLECTION RESCINDING THE FEE SCHEDULES SET FORTH IN RESOLUTION NO. 93-114, ESTABLISHING REVISED FIXED AND UNIFORM REFUSE COLLECTION RATES FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AND OTHER MATTERS CONCERNING REFUSE AND RECYCLING ISSUES WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton (City) and Pleasanton Garbage Service, Inc. (Contractor) have entered into an Agreement for the exclusive collection, transportation and disposal of dry garbage and refuse from the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 9.20.090 of the City of Pleasanton Municipal Code, rates for refuse services shall be set by a resolution approved by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, the Contractor shall conduct all billing related to the collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal of said garbage and refuse in strict accordance with the rates listed in such Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Contractor has submitted information which details justification for a rate adjustment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager on April 2, 1996 presented a staff report (SR 96:90) to the City Council concerning the request of the Contractor for a rate increase as well as other issues concerning refuse and recycling. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The fee schedule set forth in Resolution No. 93-114 is hereby rescinded. Section 2: The rates for the collection, transport and disposal of dry garbage and refuse from the City of Pleasanton for Commercial Services, Residential Services and for Transfer Station Services, are increased 5.82% effective April 1, 1996. Rates for residential and commercial service are set forth in the attached Exhibit A. Section 3: The disposal rates for the Busch Road transfer station are as set forth in Exhibit B.
