CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLU~ON NO. 96-07A <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AlYrHOIHz~NG <br /> EXECIYrION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR <br /> EMERGENCY WATER SERVICES BETWEEN THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON AND DUBLIN SAN RAMON <br /> SERVICES DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton ("City") and the Dublin San Ramon Sea'vices District <br /> ("DSRSD") are responsible for providing potable water at all times to <br /> customers within their respective service areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and DSRSD have adjoining service areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the event of an emergency in either the City or DSRSD, it may become <br /> desirable for one agency to supply water temporarily to the other agency for <br /> the duration of the emergency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by the City Council, an <br /> agreement between City and DSRSD for fmnishing water on an emergency <br /> basis between the two agencies. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That certain Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and the Dublin San <br /> Ramon Services District entitled "Agreement for Emergency Water <br /> Services Between the Dublin San Ramon Services District and the City of <br /> Pleasanton," a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and <br /> by this reference incorporated herein, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager of the City of Pleasanton is hereby authorized to execute <br /> said agreement substantially in the form of Exhibit A for and on behalf of <br /> the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
