Exhibit C <br />SENIORITY SHIFT SIGN-UP PROGRAM <br />'The Seniority Shift Sign-Up Program for work schedule selections (watch and days off) will be <br />implemented in the Operations Division the first pay period after January 1, 1999. The following <br />guidelines will govern the program. <br />Eligibility <br />1. The program will be available to non-probationary sergeants and officers who are <br />assigned, or will be assigned, to the Operations Division on January 1st of each year. <br />Seniori <br />1. Sergeants' seniority will be based on date of promotion. In the case that more than one <br /> <br />sergeant was promoted on the same date, seniority will be determined by the involved <br />individuals' position on the sergeant's promotional list. <br />2. Officers' seniority will be based on their date of hire as a police officer. If more than one <br />officer was hired on the same date, seniority will be determined by the individuals' position <br />on the hiring list. Seniority of officers sworn-in on the same day, but hired from different <br />eligibility lists, or when seniority can not be determined b}~ any other method, seniority will <br />be determined by a lottery draw. <br />3. With the exception of #4 of this section, if a manager or sergeant is returned to the rank of <br />officer, that officer's seniority will be based on original date of hire. If a manager is <br />returned to the rank of sergeant, that individual's seniority will be based on original date of <br />promotion to sergeant. <br />
