SA1V\ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON 4 ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0.98-109 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE PLEASANTON POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION (PPOA), AMENDING SALARIES AND CONDITIONS FOR ENUMERATED CLASSES OF EMPLOYEES, AND AMENDING THE 1998/99 BUDGET WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton, acting through the City Manager as employer representative of the City Council, and representatives of Pleasanton Police Officers Association have met and conferred pursuant to the provisions of Section 3500, et seq., of the Government Code in regard to wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for members of the Pleasanton Police Officers Association; and WHEREAS, as a result of the above meet and confer process a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Police Officers Association was presented to the City Council at the meeting of August 4, 1998. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves and authorizes the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Police Officers Association for a term commencing May 1, 1998 and ending Apri130, 2002. Section 2: The employees' class titles and salary ranges to be paid by the City of Pleasanton to all employees in the Pleasanton Police Officers Association during the period June 27, 1998 through Apri130, 1999, shall be as set forth in Exhibit "A". Section 3: The budget for fiscal year 1998/99 is hereby amended to reflect those changes enumerated in Exhibit "A". Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
