Resolution No. 98-103 <br />Page Three <br /> <br />Section 6: The ballot language shall be as follows: <br /> <br /> "Shall the City of Pleasanton participate in the Export Pipeline Facilities Project of <br /> the Livermore Amador Valley Water Management Agency, which Project <br /> provides limited additional wastewater disposal capacity for Pleasanton to meet its <br /> General Plan, with costs of the additional capacity expected to be paid by new <br /> development?" <br /> <br /> Yes <br /> No <br /> <br />Section 7: That the City Council sponsored initiative concerning submitting other aspects of <br /> the LAVWMA Joint Powers Agreement to the Pleasanton voters shall be placed <br /> on the ballot for the November 3, 1998 General Municipal Election. The measure <br /> shall be designated by letter of the County of Alameda. <br /> <br />Section 8: The ballot language shall be as follows: <br /> <br /> ""Shall the City of Pleasanton submit to the voters for prior approval any proposed <br /> action (including approval, purchase or construction of any wastewater disposal <br /> facility) which would require any of the following revisions to the existing <br /> LAVWMA Joint Powers Agreement: (1) increase the maximum permitted "dry <br /> weather" flow into wastewater treatment facilities, (2) modify the Service Area <br /> limitations, or (3) increase the capacity of the export pipeline(s)?" <br /> <br /> Yes <br /> No <br /> <br />Section 9: The City Attomey is directed to prepare an impartial analysis of the above <br /> initiative measures to be placed on the ballot by August 7, 1998. <br /> <br />Section 10: The City Council authorizes arguments for the initiatives to be filed by members <br /> of the City Council. Said arguments must be submitted to the City Clerk by 5:00 <br /> p.m. on August 7, 1998. The direct arguments shall not exceed 300 words and <br /> shall be signed and verified by not more than five persons. <br /> <br /> <br />
