,~,.~..,,,~f CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-79 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REJECTING PRINCIPLES OF AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE <br /> DUBLIN SAN RAMON SERVICES DISTRICT (DSRSD) FOR <br /> JOINT USE OF TASSAJARA RESERVOIR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1991, the City of Pleasanton undertook to construct the Tassajara Reservoir, an <br /> 8 million gallon water facility, to meet the water needs of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City did not have an immediate need for all the water, and the City entered into <br /> a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Dublin San Ramon Services <br /> District (DSRSD) and Chang Su-O Lin conceming the City's Tassajara Reservoir; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the MOU provided that the City and DSRSD would discuss terms and conditions <br /> that would give rise to the joint use and operation of the reservoir; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City and DSRSD staff concluded discussions under the MOU and prepared <br /> proposed Principles of Agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Principles of Agreement provide terms and conditions for sharing the cost to <br /> expand the reservoir and for DSRSD's leasing existing reservoir capacity until the <br /> expansion can be constructed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 2, 1998, the City Council received the staff report <br /> (SR98:131) from the Director of Public Works conceming the Principles of <br /> Agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there remain unanswered questions conceming the technical feasibility for a joint <br /> use facility and there is concem in the community about the City's facilitating <br /> growth in Eastern Dublin. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
