CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-48 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A JOINT <br /> EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT FOR TRI-VALLEY <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT FEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has joined with other Tri-Valley jurisdictions to form the <br /> Tri-Valley Transportation Council (TVTC), and cooperatively participated in the <br /> development and adoption of the Tri-Valley Transportation Plan/Action Plan for <br /> Routes of Regional Significance (TVTP); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the TVTP identified improvements to the regional transportation system necessary <br /> to accommodate traffic growth from ongoing development in the Tri-Valley area <br /> and elsewhere; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the TVTP recommended the adoption and implementation of a Tri-Valley <br /> Transportation Development Fee (TVTD Fee) to fund all or part of the necessary <br /> transportation improvements identified in the TVTP; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all Tri-Valley jurisdictions have adopted a resolution of intent to adopt the TVTD <br /> Fees and have jointly through the TVTC prepared a Joint Exercise of Powers <br /> Agreement pertaining to TVTD Fees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton supports solution of regional traffic problems through <br /> implementation of the TVTD Fee program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton will comply with the Califomia Environmental Quality Act <br /> (CEQA) prior to its adoption of the TVTD Fee. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the City's participation in the attached Joint Exercise of Powers <br /> Agreement and authorizes the Mayor to sign on behalf of the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
