EXHIBIT "B" <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL <br /> ALTAMONT COMMUTER EXPRESS INTERIM STATION <br /> <br />PLANNING <br /> <br />1. Development shall be substantially as shown on the development plans, Exhibit "A", <br /> dated "Received March 6, 1998" on file with the Planning Department, except as <br /> modified by the following conditions. Minor changes to the plans may be allowed <br /> subject to the approval of the Planning Director if found to be in substantial conformance <br /> to the approved exhibits. <br /> <br />2. The ACE Authority shall enter into an agreement with the City of Pleasanton for use of <br /> the City's property. The form of this agreement shall be approved by the City Attomey <br /> and shall be limited to three years. The agreement shall require as conditions of lease the <br /> conditions of approval contained herein. <br /> <br />3. At the end of the first ninety (90) days in operation, a ridership survey shall be conducted <br /> to determine ridership levels for the Pleasanton station and the origin/destination of the <br /> riders. This survey shall be completed and submitted to the City of Pleasanton prior to <br /> one-hundred and twenty (120) days of operation being completed. Thereafter, the survey <br /> shall be conducted on a semi-annual basis. <br /> <br />4. At the end of the first 30 days in operation a detailed parking lot operational plan shall be <br /> submitted to the City Engineer for review and approval. This operational plan shall detail <br /> engress/ingress arrangements and parking space distribution between the ACE station and <br /> the Fairgrounds. The operational plan shall restrict station parking ingress/egress to the <br /> West Angela Street driveway. <br /> <br />5. ACE staff and City staff shall meet to review the design of the parking lot in an effort to <br /> increase the width of the parking lot aisles to the greatest extent possible. Changes agreed <br /> to between ACE staff and City staff shall be made to the parking lot plan. <br /> <br />6. The City urges the San Joaquin Rail Commission in the strongest terms possible to not <br /> charge commute passengers for parking at the Fairgrounds station. <br /> <br />SR:98:74 <br />Page 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
