CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-30 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN <br /> APPLICATION WITH THE METROPOLITAN <br /> TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR <br /> THE BIKE PATH PROJECT ON THE ALAMO <br /> CANAL/ARROYO DE LA LAGUNA FOR FISCAL YEAR <br /> 1998-99 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff, together with Bicycle Advisory Committee members, have reviewed <br /> various bike path projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a bike path along the Alamo Canal/Arroyo de la Laguna will assist pedestrian and <br /> bicycle travel in the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) requires a resolution of <br /> support for Transportation Development Act (TDA) applications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: T .e Pleasanton City Council authorizes submittal of the project application to <br /> MTC for TDA funds and subsequent submittal of claims to MTC for payment. <br /> <br /> <br />
