CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-13 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A GRANT <br /> APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL TRANSIT ACT 5310 <br /> FUNDING TO PURCHASE AN AUTOMATED SCHEDULING <br /> HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE SYSTEM FOR THE <br /> PLEASANTON PARATRANSIT SERVICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Federal Transit Act 53 10 provides for the disbursement of funds for use by eligible <br /> claimants for the purpose of community paratransit services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the grant funds will assist in continuing an existing program utilizing new <br /> hardware and software to facilitate scheduling paratransit services to provide a <br /> higher level of client support and program efficiency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Human Services Commission on February 4, <br /> 1998 and no other nonprofit agency expressed an interest in applying for Federal <br /> Transit Act 53 10 funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 3, 1998, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br /> Director of Parks and Community Services (SR 98:49) regarding the proposed <br /> grant application; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: James W. Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community Services, is authorized to <br /> execute and file an appropriate grant application for Federal Transit Act 5310 <br /> funding to purchase an automated scheduling hardware and software system for <br /> the Pleasanton paratransit system. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
