CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-08 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADDING AGENDA ITEM REGARDING <br /> CLOSED SESSION DISCUSSION OF A PENDING <br /> WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received a settlement proposal for a pending workers' <br /> compensation claim concerning Donald Bubeck; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this proposal was received after the agenda for the February 9, 1998 City Council <br /> meeting was posted and in order to avoid a trial, scheduled to begin on <br /> February 10, 1998, action is required before the next regular meeting of the City <br /> Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the agenda upon a two-thirds <br /> vote of the Council that finds that the item arose after the time the agenda was <br /> posted and that action on the item is necessary before the next City Council <br /> meeting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council so finds; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Based on the findings set forth above, a closed session discussion regarding the <br /> pending workers' compensation claim of Donald Bubeck is hereby added to the <br /> February 9, 1998 agenda for Council consideration and action, if necessary. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 9, 1998 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
