~?.~~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-06 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CONCEPT OF A <br /> LAVWMA PUBLIC INFORMATION PROGRAM FOR THE <br /> PROPOSED WASTEWATER DISPOSAL EXPANSION <br /> PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during the past several months, the Livemore Amador Valley Water Management <br /> Agency (LAVWMA) has been preparing an Environmental Impact Report for an <br /> expanded wastewater disposal project and it is expected that the EIR will be ready <br /> for certification by May 1998; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to LAVWMA's approval of a project pursuant to this EIR, the cities of <br /> Pleasanton and Livermore will take the question of their participation in the <br /> project to their respective voters; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 3, 1998, the City Council received the report of the <br /> Director of Public Works (SR 98:23) regarding a LAVWMA proposal for a Public <br /> Information and Outreach Program for the proposed project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Pleasanton City Council endorses the concept of a LAVWMA coordinated <br /> Public Information and Outreach Program, but that the current proposal from <br /> William R. Gray be revised to reflect a more understated approach, with primary <br /> emphasis on enhancing public understanding and informed discussion of the <br /> proposed expansion project. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
