CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 97-139 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF ALL <br /> CITIES CAB COMPANY FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC <br /> CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO OPERATE A TAXI <br /> SERVICE IN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the All Cities Cab Company has applied to the City for a Certificate of Public <br /> Convenience and Necessity to operate a taxi service in the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as provided in Chapter 6.40, Pleasanton Municipal Code, the police deparunent <br /> conducted its investigation as to the applicant and has provided to the City Council <br /> a positive report and recommendation (SR 97:341); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held on December 2, 1997, at which time oral <br /> and documentary evidence was considered; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that further taxicab service in the City is required for the <br /> public convenience and necessity and that the applicant is fit, willing and able to <br /> perform the requirements of Chapter 6.40 and any and all rules promulgated by the <br /> Police Chief. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council declares that the public convenience and necessity require <br /> additional taxicab service. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the Police Chief to issue to the All Cities Cab Company a certificate, as <br /> provided in Chapter 6.40, Pleasanton Municipal Code, said company to do <br /> business under the name "All Cities Cab Company". <br /> <br /> Section 3: The maximum taxi rates shall be as set forth in the Master Fee Schedule. <br /> <br /> Section 4: Approves dark blue as the color for the applicant's taxicabs. <br /> <br /> <br />
