1 EXHIBIT "A" <br />2 1. LAVWMA shall reimburse EBDA for the costs attributable to tAVWMA's use of and <br />3 capacity rights in EBDA's facilities. Said costs will be determined in accordance <br />4 with the following definitions: <br />5 2. Dechlorination Costs: Dechlorination costs are those direct costs incurred by <br />6 EBDA for power and chemicals used in dechlorinating LAVWMA's flows. <br />7 LAVWMA's share of these costs is a function of both flow and chlorine residual. <br />8 LAVWMA's percent share of these costs is determined on a monthly basis by the <br />9 following formula: <br />10 <br />11 <br />Y= DAxC x100 <br />(B x CB) <br />where <br />12 Y = LAVWMA's percentage of Dechlorination Costs <br />13 D = Total cost of power and chemicals for dechlorination <br />14 A = LAVWMA reported effluent flow as defined by Paragraph 8 <br />15 above <br />16 CA = Arithmetic mean of residual chlorine concentration in mg/L of <br />17 LAVWMA discharge to EBDA system <br />18 B = Total flow through dechlorination station <br />19 CB = Arithmetic mean of residual chlorine concentration in mg/L of <br />20 total flow through dechlorination station <br />21 3. Fixed Costs: As defined by EBDA's Second Amended Joint Exercise of Powers <br />22 Agreement, "Fixed Costs include all Operation and Maintenance costs not defined <br />23 below as 'Variable Costs'."
