1 EXHIBIT "A" 2 1. LAVWMA shall reimburse EBDA for the costs attributable to tAVWMA's use of and 3 capacity rights in EBDA's facilities. Said costs will be determined in accordance 4 with the following definitions: 5 2. Dechlorination Costs: Dechlorination costs are those direct costs incurred by 6 EBDA for power and chemicals used in dechlorinating LAVWMA's flows. 7 LAVWMA's share of these costs is a function of both flow and chlorine residual. 8 LAVWMA's percent share of these costs is determined on a monthly basis by the 9 following formula: 10 11 Y= DAxC x100 (B x CB) where 12 Y = LAVWMA's percentage of Dechlorination Costs 13 D = Total cost of power and chemicals for dechlorination 14 A = LAVWMA reported effluent flow as defined by Paragraph 8 15 above 16 CA = Arithmetic mean of residual chlorine concentration in mg/L of 17 LAVWMA discharge to EBDA system 18 B = Total flow through dechlorination station 19 CB = Arithmetic mean of residual chlorine concentration in mg/L of 20 total flow through dechlorination station 21 3. Fixed Costs: As defined by EBDA's Second Amended Joint Exercise of Powers 22 Agreement, "Fixed Costs include all Operation and Maintenance costs not defined 23 below as 'Variable Costs'."
