`/ rVL~.J
~- I N C O R V O R A I e D
Creek banks can be oversteepened by stream cutting and erosion, which can cause the
banks to slump. The slumped material then can be transported downstream. In flood
__ stage, even vegetated stream banks unprotected by riprap or stream lining can erode if
design velocities are exceeded.
C. Definitions.
1. Lot: A plot of land, as shown upon a recorded subdivision map of any portion of Laurel
__ Creek Estates, which is designed and intended for the construction of asingle-family
residence, including all improvements constructed thereon and any adjustments which
-.. may be made from time to time by a recorded lot line adjustment. A lot does not include
land owned in fee by the homeowners' association, nor does it include Open Space.
2. Undeveloped Property: A Lot which has been rough graded, but on which asingle-family
-- residence has not been completed.
3. Open Space: Property which is located within the GHAD boundary, but which is not a
Lot or Undeveloped Property. "Open space" includes land owned in fee by the
- homeowners' association.
4. Slope Instability: Unstable slope conditions as a result of landsliding, soil creep and/or
slope erosion.
5. Landslide: A deposit of soil and/or bedrock moving downward from its original position
-- under the influence of gravity. Landslides include a variety of morphologies and are
further defined by types of material, wetness, and mode of movement.
