h. Exhibition halls and outdoor space, used for temporary fairs, expositions, <br />end exhibitions. <br />I. Meeting rooms and tkcilities, <br />j. Museum $cilities. <br />k, Ancillary administrative, custodial, and maintenance taciliities. <br />Exatnpla of these uses are fLRher identiSed in the "tentative 1996 Interim <br />Evcnts," attached as Exhibit A. . <br />Z. These historical land uses include those activities that the Fair Association, as an <br />agent of the Coumy and dealing with County properly, is entitled to permit or <br />perform consistent with the County's power as a nibdivision of the State and, in <br />general, to use the Fairgrounds to ftuther the purposes of the Fair Association and <br />the Courty Fair. <br />3. These historical iand uses include aetiviti~ which may be Sanchised to or operated <br />by private, independent for-profit or noa-profit entities so long as they are <br />consistenrt with the historical use of the property as a Fairgrounds, use Fairgrounds <br />ihcilities or are of a temporary nature (e.g,, exhibitions, shows, games). <br />4. To be considered a historical land use under this section, a use must be operated <br />consistent with the hour of operation, capaaties of facilities, including on-site <br />parking sufficient for the use, and operational characteristics of historically similar <br />uses. <br />S. Procedurally, uses under this :cction shall be nwiawed and approved by the <br />County, acting independently or through its agent, the Fair Association, in a <br />manner consistent with the County processes and regulations. County will keep <br />City apprised of Fairgrounds projects by certi5ed mail with return receipt and will <br />cotuider recommendations $om Pleasanton in its actions. <br />6. Notwithstanding the above, the City reserves the right to contest oa a case by case <br />basis the County's or the Fair Association's determination that a particular <br />usdacdvity is a historical use/activity. <br />B. New Public U s the FairQrou s <br />The county shall review and act on new public land uses on the Fairgrounds. <br />1.
