CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 97-105 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A WAIVER OF CITY <br /> FEES FOR THE SECURITY CAPITAL PACIFIC <br /> TRUST APARTMENT PROJECT IN HACIENDA <br /> BUSINESS PARK (PUD-81-30-71D) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Security Capital Pacific Trust (Developer) is proposing to construct a <br /> 540-unit rental apartment project, to be located on an approximately 26.4 <br /> acre parcel at 5700 Owens Drive (PUD-81-30-71D); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Developer has agreed to limit rents in perpetuity for 135 units at the low <br /> income level, i.e., 80% of median income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property has been subject to various assessments of the North <br /> Pleasanton Improvement District (NPID); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the assessments paid on the property have funded traffic, water, fire, and <br /> other improvements similar to those for which certain development fees are <br /> normally charged by the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, providing affordable remal housing is a need which is expressed in the <br /> City's General Plan Housing Element and in the HUD Consolidated <br /> Planning Strategy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 2, 1997, the City Council reviewed the report of <br /> the Housing Division (SR 97:258) regarding the request by Security Capital <br /> Pacific Trust for a waiver of certain City fees for the project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
