CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 97-103 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PLEASANTON <br /> DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT REPORT <br /> AND 1998 BUDGET AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT AND <br /> APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR CITY EVENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and approved the PDA Advisory Board <br /> report and budget for 1998, which report satisfies the statutory requirements <br /> of Streets and Highways Code §36533, which report is attached to this <br /> resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held as provided in §36534 of the Streets <br /> and Highways Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to execute a contract with the Pleasanton <br /> Downtown Association for the administration of the Holiday Parade and the <br /> Friday Concerts in the Park series; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to execute an updated master agreement with the <br /> Pleasanton Downtown Association; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that in order to fund the Holiday Parade, the Friday <br /> Concerts in the Park, and the City assessment, it is necessary to appropriate <br /> $8,550 from the General Fired. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The report of the Advisory Board is accepted and the assessment is levied <br /> for 1998. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with the Pleasanton <br /> Downtown Association for the administration of the Holiday Parade and the <br /> Friday Concerts in the Park series. <br /> <br /> <br />
