EAS, we, th~ WomenTM improvenmnt Club of pleasanton, did heretofore by Resolution passed and adopted determine that in the event that the Town of pleasanton did decide to erect a new town hall, that for and in consideration of the incorporat- ing therein, and leasing to the Woments Improvment Olub, under certain conditions and ~ovenants. a certain pomtion thereof for ou~ personal use, and the erection of said Town Hall on the property now occupied and owned by us and situate on the north- west corner of Main and Division Streets, in thp town of pleasanton, cal., we, the Women's Improv~nent club, of Pleasanton would grant and deed to said town of Pl.asanton all our right, title and interest in and to said property; and ~I~EREAS, the Board of Trustees of th~ town of pleasanton have, by Resolution duly passed and adopted, determined that public interest and necessity demand the acquisition, construct- ion and completion of a new town hall in and for th~ town of Pl~asanton, and the purchase and acquisition of a suitable piece or parcel of land for the erection thereon of such Town Hall; ar~l V~H~EA~, the Board of Trustees of the town of pleasanton have signified their intention of calling a special election for the issuance of bonds to secure funds to erect a town hall and requested ua to place ou~ proposition before them in writing; NOW TH~FOR~, be and it is hereby resolved that we, the Women, s Improvement club, of the town of Pleas~nton, do authorize and eI~ower our Boar& of Directors, to-wit:- Tillie Graham, pl~eside~t,,Ele~o~Smallwood, Vice-president, Bessi~¥ ells, Recordin~ Secretary, Louise Walker, ~inancial Secretary, and Mae pickard. Treasurer, for the consideration hereinafter na~ed, to ex.cute and deliver to the town of pleasanton a deed of grant, bargain and sale, in and to all the following described property;
