CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 97-97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE <br /> REPORT OF THE PLEASANTON DOWNTOWN <br /> ASSOCIATION ADVISORY BOARD, DECLARING <br /> THE INTENTION TO LEVY AN ANNUAL <br /> ASSESSMENT FOR 1997-98 AND ESTABLISHING A <br /> TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON <br /> THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore established a Downtown Pleasanton <br /> Business Improvement District, the purposes and boundaries of which are <br /> set forth in Chapter 5.28, Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore appointed a Pleasanton Advisory <br /> Board for the Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Advisory Board has prepared a report for the fiscal year 1997-98, <br /> which report is on file with the City Clerk, which report satisfies the <br /> statutory requirements of Streets and Highways Code §36533 and which <br /> report is attached to this resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The report of the Advisory Board is accepted and approved. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council intends to levy and collect assessments within the District <br /> for 1997-98, for the proposed improvements and activities as provided in <br /> Chapter 5.28 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code and as provided in the <br /> attached report. <br /> <br />Section 3: The public heating on the levy of the proposed assessment for 1997-98 is <br /> set for Tuesday, August 26, 1997, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, <br /> 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, at which time protests to <br /> the assessment may be made, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give <br /> notice of said hearing as provided in §36534 of the Streets and Highways <br /> Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
