"1 hospital area identified by the City of Livemore at the time of approval <br />2 of this Agreement. <br /> <br /> 3 14.2.3 DSRSD may provide wastewater treatment and disposal service to <br /> 4 Camp Parks for military uses. <br /> <br /> 5 14.2.4 In the interest of protecting public health and safety, a Member Agency <br /> 6 may also provide wastewater treatment and disposal service to <br /> 7 unincorporated properties adjoining a city. If the cumulative amount <br /> 8 of proposed service in any one contiguous unincorporated geographic <br /> 9 area exceeds ten (10) residential connections or the equivalent, service <br /> 10 in excess of ten connections will require unanimous approval of the <br /> 11 LAVWMA Board. <br /> <br /> 12 14.2.5 Except as otherwise provided in this paragraph, no Member Agency <br /> 13 shall serve any other area, including any unincorporated area of <br /> 14 Alameda County which is south of Interstate 580 or in the planning <br /> 15 area for the North Livemore General Plan Amendment adopted by <br /> 16 the Livemore City Council on October 11, 1993, without the <br /> 17 unanimous vote of the LAVWMA Board. <br /> <br /> 18 14.3 The Member Agencies will, individually and collectively, actively resist any <br /> 19 other governmental agency requiring a Member Agency to provide <br /> 20 wastewater or disposal service to any unincorporated areas other than the <br /> 21 areas described herein. <br /> <br /> 22 para~aph 15. Pipeline Pro!ect. <br /> <br /> 23 15.1 Pro!ect Description. Upon execution of this Agreement, the Member <br /> 24 Agencies shall initiate the Project, which includes an export pumping and <br /> 25 pipeline expansion that increases the total design capacity of the LAVWMA <br /> 26 system to 41.2 mgd PWWF. The Project shall consist of an expansion com- <br /> 27 ponent and a repair component. The expansion component includes a new <br /> 28 pipeline which is intended to have a design capacity of 21 mgd PWWF, an <br /> 29 expanded export pumping station and, at the appropriate time, a Livermore <br /> 30 funded pump station and possible improvements to the LAVWMA sole use <br /> 31 interceptor. Construction of the new pipeline shall be followed immediately <br /> 32 by the repair component consisting of the relining of the existing pipeline <br /> 33 which is intended to have a design capacity of 20.2 mgd PWWF. <br /> <br /> 34 15.2 PWWF Capacity.. The total PWWF design capacity of the Project is 41.2 mgd. <br /> 35 If all Member Agencies participate in the Project, the PWWF capacity shall be <br /> 36 allocated as follows: Livermore 12.4 mgd; Pleasanton 14.4 mgd; and DSRSD <br /> 37 14.4 mgd; and the expansion increment of the Project shall be: Livermore <br /> 38 3.672 mgd; Pleasanton 6.897 mgd; and DSRSD 9.631 mgd. Any Member <br /> 39 Agency that does not participate in the Project retains its right to utilize its <br /> 40 existing PWWF capacity in the LAVWMA pipeline(s) and related facilities <br /> 41 which is: Livemore 8.728 mgd; Pleasanton 7.503 mgd; and DSRSD 4.769 mgd. <br /> <br /> LAVWMA/JPA/Board6/Clean -8- July 7, 1997 <br /> <br /> <br />
