a. Whenever tank vehicles, double trailers, <br /> an or hazardous material carriers are <br /> towed or driven,the driver is required to <br />_ possess the appropriate class of license <br /> and endorsement. <br /> <br /> b. Empty buses can be towed without the <br /> passenger transport endorsement, but the <br /> tow truck driver must have the passenger <br /> transport endorsement if the tow truck <br /> driver drives the bus, even without <br /> passengers. <br /> <br /> 3. Tow truck drivers may obtain a Class A driver <br /> license which is restricted to towing other <br /> vehicles. The actual driving of damaged <br /> vehicles or vehicles being serviced requires <br /> that the Class A license not be restricted to <br /> towing vehicles. <br /> <br /> 4. Commercial vehicle operators or operators of <br /> vehicles requiring a special certificate.must <br /> possess both the appropriate license and <br /> certificate, and be in possession of a valid <br /> medical card. <br /> <br /> C. The operator shall comply with the provisions contained <br /> in Division 4, Chapter 2 (Reports of Stored Vehicles) of <br /> the California Vehicle Code. <br /> <br /> D. The operator shall comply with Section 10854 of the <br /> California Vehicle Code. <br /> <br /> E. The operator shall comply with Section 12110 of the <br /> California Vehicle Code. <br /> <br /> F. The operator shall comply with the provisions of Division <br /> 11, Chapter 9 of the California Vehicle Code relating to <br /> stopping, standing, or parking, and Division 11, Chapter <br /> 10 of the California Vehicle Code, relating to the <br /> removal and disposition of vehicles. <br /> <br /> G. Tow trucks shall comply with appropriate lighting and <br /> equipment requirements for motor vehicles as contained in <br /> the California Vehicle Code. <br /> <br /> H. Tow trucks towing disabled legal vehicles or legal <br /> combination of vehicles shall comply with the vehicle <br /> siz~ and weiaht limitations contained in Division 15 of <br /> the California Vehicle Code. <br /> <br /> -B2- <br /> <br /> <br />
