CITY OF PLEASANTON 6 <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> June 17, 1997 <br /> Assistant City Manager <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Adoption of the City of Pleasanton Five Year Capital Improvement <br /> Program for Fiscal Years 1997/98 through 2001/02 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Staff recommends the City Council: <br /> <br /> 1. Adopt the proposed Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Years <br /> 1997/98 through 2001/02 as presented to the Council. <br /> <br /> 2. Approve the new and amended projects as recommended in this <br /> report and authorize staff to make the appropriate revenue and <br /> expenditure adjustments as part of the City's first quarter financial <br /> report for fiscal year 1997/98. <br /> <br /> 3. Appropriate the revenues and approved project expenditures for the <br /> projects recommended for funding in fiscal years 1997/98 and <br /> 1998/99. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: The City Council regularly adopts a Five Year Capital Improvement <br /> Program to assure that infrastructure and capital improvement needs are <br /> adequately addressed and planned. The proposed Capital Improvement <br /> Program establishes a course of action to meet improvement needs over the <br /> next five years. The first two years of the program are recommended for <br /> firedine.
