Commissioner Blaraac wished to get consensus from the Coar~mission to encourage the City Council to commend Ms_ Nerland for the outstanding se rvicc she had. provided to the Comar~i scion for the past three-and-a-half years. The Coanmissi oaf concurred with his recommendation. C7ommissioner Blank moved to recommend the City Council issue a commendation for Ms_ Nerland in recognition of her service to the City_ Commissioner Arkin seconded the motion- 120LL CALL VOTE: AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Blank, Fox, Maas, and Roberts. NOES: None_ ABSTAIN: None. RECUSED= None_ ABSENT: None. The rraotion passed. Ms. Nerland noted that she had accepted a position as the City Attorney to the City of Antioch. She added that this was a difficaalt decision and that she had enjoyed the opportunity to serve Pleasanton and this Planning C=ommission. United Growth Buildin Commissioner Roberts noted that she reviewed Larry Cannon's motes regarding this building and. noted that there would not be a hole in the middle of the roof- Ms_ Decker noted that there was a tenant who was anxious to occupy the building and that the City had issued a temporary ecrtit3cate of occupancy to allow that to occur. C'omn~aissioner Roberts suggested that the Commissioners walk that property with a planner, one or two at a time- Ms_ Decker believed that would be a good idea before the January 7 7 , 2006, meeting. Eioraae Expo Dublin Chairperson Maas noted that she was irritated that customers had to walk through a planting area to get to the store and believed that stairs with a handrail should he instal led.
