Ms. Decker suggested an alternative wherein the Commission would -approve the four chickens and then have the matter come back before the Commission in 18 months for an update on the impacts of the use permit Commissioner Blank moved make the required conditional use permit findings and approve PAUP-1, subject to Exhibit B, Conditions of Approval, of the staff report, as recommended by staff with the following modificationsc (1) The use permit is limited to the existing four chickens; anew use permit will be required for additional chickens; ~2) To attenuate the noise, the applicant shall plant fast-growing hedges around the coop, the density of which is to be determined by staff; (3J The chickens may be allowed to roam freely in the rear yard with supervision; the age of the supervisor shall be determined by staff; and (4) Staff shall establish a mechanism for neighbors to call in their complaints, and the use permit shall come back to the Commission in six months for evaluation and review of any complaints_ Acting Chairperson Arkin seconded the motion_ Ms. Nerland asked for clarification of the limitation of the existing four chickens, given that it would be ditf3cult to identify the existing chickens in the future.
