A palette would be created to <br />allow the future worship space to draw from ii. <br />Chairperson Maas expressed concern that a tree may be tran sfarrad without tree guaraaitee <br />that it would be successfu7_ <br />Phil Sayer noted that he attended all the meetings before the Valley Trails Homeowners <br />Association and spoke in opposition to this project. He did not oppose expansion of the <br />Church in general but opposed this particular expansion. Ha did not agree with the <br />suggestion of building a wall near the parking lot, which he thought azaight invite crime. <br />Chuck Weidel, 7295 Valley Trails Drive, noted that he was not a member of the <br />congregation and noted that ]ic had attended a niceting whore ha and his wife ware the <br />only attendees. He added that he received a nice presentation by the Church- He <br />believed. there should be more than one entrance/exit to the property and supported the <br />plan. He was not concerned about noise from children acid enjoyed hearing them- He <br />__ _ believed the CJhurch was a good neighbor and was not concerned about parking overflow <br />on spacial occasions- <br />Ken Sleason, 5920 Bryce Canyon Court, noted that his property was immediately <br />adjacent to the proposed north parking lot. He opposed this application in its current <br />form. Ha believed that the added parking should be adjacent to the existing parking and. <br />that the proposed parking layout would create light and noise problems. <br />Ted Crowton, 6013 Acadia Court, noted that he lived across the street from the Church <br />and on ginally supported the Church_ He does not support the expansion at this time and <br />did not have good experiences dealing with the Church. He objected to the amount of <br />parking expansion- <br />Staves Yuffa, 4979 [Dolores Drive, spoke in support of this application and noted that he <br />was not a member of this congregation. He noted. that he was the scoutmaster of Boy <br />Scout Troop 9013., wlzicl-i is sponsored by St_ L'lare's. "1'he troop, which has 102 xraeanbers, <br />meets at Harte Middle School instead of its sponsor's location due to lack of space- <br />Carl Pretzel, 3633 Glacier Court, spoke in opposition to this item and submitted. a letter <br />with his comments. 1-le expressed concern that if Phase I were approved, it would lock in <br />the rest of the expansion and would be harmful to the community. He believed that this <br />project violated the General Plaai by not n-aaintaining the local character of the <br />neighborhood. He was very concerned about traffic and noise.
