Commissioner Roberts requested that language be added to the last bullet item of the first <br />paragraph nn page 9 statittg that Mr. O'Callaghan indicated that the acquisition of the <br />former Kolln Hardware Store was in progress. <br />G'ommissioner Fox requested that the following sentence be added before paragraph 3 on <br />page 5: "Commissioner Fox Zilsed the design ,guidelines but indicated that the review <br />process .should stay the some. such tha! each custom home. should he subjec'i to u <br />Ylannin~ Commission hearing. <br />Commissioner Blank complimented staff on doing an excellent .job in reconstructing the <br />events of the March 9, 2005 meeting in the absence of an audi otape_ <br />The iriinutas were approved as corrected <br />b_ March 23, 2005. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br />Vanessa Kawaihu, 871 Sycamore Road, advised that the fourth sentence of the second <br />paragraph on page 4, should be changed to read, "She added that in 2003 '-.-Tc'"~, the City <br />Attorney _ _ _ " <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br />Ms. Decker advised that staff received correspondence from Ed McGovern, which was <br />forwarded to the Commissioners, requesting a correction to the March 23, 2005 minutes. <br />Commissioner Fox advised that the fifth sentence of the sixth paragraph on page 6 should <br />be changed to read as follows: "She believed that impacts on public services, <br />particularly in fre scacion type gf~services, should be investigated...." She was <br />concerned. about emergency access stemming from the changed aligrttrtent of the Bypass <br />Road _ <br />Commissioner Fox advised that the First sentence on page 7 should be changed to read as <br />follows: "She believed the impact --~~' -.~-._=~`--~- ~f nitrates in the water should be <br />investigated _" <br />Commissioner Fox advised that the fourth sentence on page 7 should be changed to read <br />as follows: "She believed there would be visual impacts from the golf course (anc~ in <br />addition, .from the cZuhhouseJ the adjacent residents, and the City as a whole" <br />Commissioner Roberts advised that the tenth sentence of the third paragraph on page 6 <br />should be changed to read as follows- "She inquired whether the density on the lower <br />Spotorno flat adhered to any definition of semi.-rural and was concerned about the lower <br />density of the golf course homes in rc Zation to the Spotorno medium-dc nsity homes, <br />including Fiscal impacts" <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES April 7, 2005 Page 2 of ] 5 <br />
