PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />AL_A MEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO_ PC-2005-58 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENIUING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF "1.'HE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 18.32 (R-1 ONE-FAMILY <br />RESiDF_NTiAL DISTRiCTS~ OF THE PLi_;A.SANTON MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ_-30 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend sections of Chapter 18.32 <br />(R-1 One-Fancily Residential Districts) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow <br />the peeping of chickens in designated zoning districts; and <br />W HF.REA S, at its duly noticed public hearing of December 14, 2005, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning the amendment of the Municipal <br />Code; and <br />WI3EREAS, projects of this nature arc categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA~; and <br />WI-IERF'AS, the Plamiing Commission determined that the proposed amendment would <br />provide a streamlined, ministerial process that would allow the keeping of <br />chickens as a permitted use without the need for a public hearing of the Planning <br />Cotrtrrtission. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING= <br />Section 1 . Kecotr~~r~ends approval of Case PRZ-30, the application of Lhe City of Pleasanton <br />to amend sections of Chapter 18.32 (R-1 Onc-Family Residential Districts) of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow the keeping of chickens i» designated zoning <br />districts, as shown on Exhibiti A, attached hereto and made part of this case by <br />reference- <br />Section 2. 1"his resolution shall become eiTective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
