RECOMMENDA nON

Staff is recommending the Council authorize the issuance of the RFQ based on the above-
proposed scope of work. Staff will forward Council a recommendation for approval of a
consultant agreement prior to authorizing work on the project.

As an alternative, staff can proceed with completion of the Civic Center Master Plan that
would provide needed information regarding parking, traffic and pedestrian circulation and
facility locations, However, as indicated previously, based on Council's interest in further
studying library issues, it seems premature focus on this study at this time.

FISCAL IMPACT

As indicated, this project is expected to cost from $40,000 to $70,000, Note that this
estimate is tentative and final costs are based on the bidding environment and the final scope
of work, Funding will come from the CIP Civic Center Site Improvement Reserve (CIP
988029) which has a current reserve of $2,643,383.

Respectfully Submitted,

5~~-o

Steven R, Bocian
Assistant City Manager

~,

Nelson Fialho
City Manager

Attachments

A.
