PC-2005-28 <br />RESOLLTTION DENYING ]N PAR"r AND UPHOLDING IN PART THE APPEAL OF CHARLES W. <br />MEIER OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S APPROVAL OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGN <br />REVIEW, <br />AS F1LED UNDER CASE PAP-78 (PADR-1235) <br />WHEREAS, Charles W- Meier has appealed the Zoning Administrator's approval of <br />Case PADR-1235, the application of Jeff and Cindy True to construct an approximately <br />272-square-toot first-floor addition, a 642-square-foot second-floor addition, a <br />60-square-foot addition to the rear of the garage, and a front porch at the existing <br />residence located at 6592 Arlington C7ourt; and <br />WI-iEREAS, mooning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential District; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of Junc 22, 2004, the Planning C7om mission considered <br />all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning <br />this application; and <br />WHER F_A S, prof ects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act ~CEQA~; and <br />W fIEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the first-t7oor additions of the proposed proj cct <br />are consistent with the appearance of the existing buildings in the area, but that the <br />second-floor addition is not consistent based on the materials presented- <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF TiIE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING- <br />Section 1 - Denies a portion of Case PA V-78, the appeal of Charles W. Meier, thereby upholding that <br />portion the Zoning Administrator's approval of Case YAL7R- 1 235 related to the <br />construction of an approxiin ately 212-square-foot rrst-floor addition, a 60-sy uare-fool <br />addition to the rear of the garage, and a front porch at the existing residence located at <br />6592 Arlington Court; and approves a portion of the appeal, thereby overturning that <br />portion of the Zoning Administrator's approval to construct a 642-square-foot <br />Second-story addition, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto <br />and made part of this case by refercnce_ <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 1 5 days aRer its passage and adoption unless <br />appealed prior [o that time. <br />
